Love Letters - 0010
I love you, my thoroughly spoiled king.
Every day with you is nothing short of heaven on earth; some days I am a severely underpaid janitor in heaven, but heaven no less. Even at your worst, I would much rather be with you over all others. The highs are incredible, and the lows are fortunately short-lived. I must say, I am quite surprised to have discovered someone even fucking crazier than me; how delightful.
I always imagined a perfect love to be one in which no one argues. In my age, I now recognize is that a perfectly imperfect love is one in which a lover willingly goes to battle when necessary.
I had no idea it could be like this, or feel like this. Pragmatically and realistically, I always expected to fall out of love over time as so many other people in books, history, and unfortunately lived examples do.
Our passion is unmatched; when we make love, it is as if we are drowning in each other.
That sex would and just might evaporate over the years, that my feelings would flatline, that your feelings would flatline: those are my greatest anxieties.
Our continuous willingness to work through challenges, cling to each other when necessary, set the other free when appropriate, and thorough understanding of ourselves is why we thrive. I am not certain what else contributes to us as far as that which is not provable by science, but I am quite certain dumb luck exists. Inexplicably, confoundingly confusing, sheer dumb luck.
In a game of fuck, kill, and marry... we know what I chose.
Let's get back to our day, shall we?
